At SB Hotels we are aware of the environmental problems of our times, which is why we have reinforced our #WeLoveGreen corporate program to promote the responsible consumption and sustainable development of our business.

Focused on continuous improvement, we aim to ensure that our clients’ experiences are, in addition to unforgettable, enriching and beneficial for their lives and for society as a whole. We are convinced that together we can achieve far more, and that is why we want to publicize everything that we have implemented:

1. ENERGY EFFICIENT HOTELS

The electricity consumed in SB Hotels is manufactured in production plants that do not emit CO2 or nuclear waste.

All our newly built hotels have the Energy Rating A, the highest energy efficiency certification, which ensures that the building integrates all those construction requirements that allow reducing CO2 emissions from consumption.

2. WE HAVE ELIMINATED SINGLE DOSE AMENITIES

We have replaced the gel and shampoo single dose amenities with large capacity wall dispensers in all our 3 * and 4 * hotels, which has allowed us, on the one hand, to significantly reduce the volume of plastic waste generated, and on the other, make the most of the content. Regarding the content, we emphasize that it is a 98% biodegradable formula with the Ecolabel label.

3. PARKING FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLES

All 4 * and 4 * Sup hotels have parking spaces with universal charging points for all types of electric vehicles.

4. WE ARE GOING PAPERLESS

We have digitised all invoices to avoid printing them and they are sent to our clients’ email. Likewise, we have implemented recycled paper in all our centres, and we are also digitising all reservation documentation.

5. BICYCLES FOR OUR GUESTS *

At SB Hotels we promote an active and healthy lifestyle and the use of bicycles as a sustainable means of transport. Hand in hand with the Orbea® brand, we have implemented a fleet of urban city bikes and e-bikes in our hotels located in Barcelona and Tortosa:

6. SEASONAL AND LOCAL PRODUCE (KM. 0)

Promoting the consumption of healthy and local produce is a priority. Consuming seasonal and local products not only affects our health but also promotes sustainability and preserves the rural environment. Therefore, we work with local producers who manage to significantly reduce the environmental impact due to transportation, storage and the use of excessive single-use packaging.

In addition, we offer a healthy menu prepared by expert nutritionists, in order to promote a diversified, balanced and healthy eating environment in all the restaurants of our hotels.

7. ISO 9001 AND 14001 CERTIFICATES

Our firm commitment to guarantee a service of the highest quality, that in turn is respectful with the environment, has led us to work under the standards of the international management rules, obtaining the ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management certification and ISO 14001: 2015 Environmental Management certification.
